General

When was the last time you visited a park undisturbed by human impact? This Selous Game Reserve safari gives you a chance to view Africa’s wild in one of the most protected game reserves.

Selous Game Reserve’s wildlife is so diverse that the area has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also regarded as one of Africa’s last great wilderness areas.

Miombo woodlands, swamps, open grasslands and riverine forests provide a wonderful home to huge numbers of black rhino, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, lions, hippos and crocodile.

One of the unique features of the Selous landscape is the dry sand river beds that fill up with episodes of torrential rain.

This is in addition to the volcanic hot springs, River Ruaha and River Rufiji where herds of elephant congregate to refresh themselves.
