Is a road trip one of the items on your bucket list? Take a 3 day Amboseli road safari and check it off your list.

Located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is only 250 kilometers from Nairobi and is close to the Tanzanian border.

Its claim to fame is its large herd of free-ranging elephants and tourists can get incredibly close to these mammoth creatures when they go to Amboseli National Park.

In addition to over 900 elephants, the wetlands of Amboseli are teeming with giraffe, antelopes, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, baboons, vervet monkeys, buffaloes, hippos and water birds.

Your eyes will also feast on picturesque views of acacia woodlands, the savannah, rocky thornbush and the dried up bed of Lake Amboseli.

If you get a chance during your Amboseli road safari, visit an enkaang- a traditional Maasai village and get an insight into their culture and traditions.
